2 Fabulous Friday 8/31/12

Hello everyone, I hope your day is wonderful!! I know that between the 3 day weekend and the 'clear' schedule I will be having a wonderful time today!!! I plan on spending the day beading - oh, what a shock!!!

12 Fabulous Friday

That says it all, I think! It has been yet another busy week! With people getting ready for the holiday season things are looking up. I am so very excited about some of the things I am working on. Are most of you like me...have 10 projects going at one time? I rarely leave projects UNFINISHED, however, I will have several going at one. This way when I get tired of beading on one I'll just move over to the other one. Right now, there are only 4 going, but they are all wonderful!

For the holiday season I am going to start something a little different this year. I am going to start listing ONE item on Friday's that is severely discounted. This item will stay discounted until the following Thursday. If it hasn't been purchased then I will post another severely discounted item the next day! Here we go, this is the first item...

2 Fabulous Friday

Many of you may remember back to the end of the last school year, my son, Monster won a laptop at a reading awards ceremony. I realize that at 6 1/2 I can not rely on the computer to hold his attention, but is sure does! I have to say that the quality of the games (that are educational without him realizing it) that are out there to play and download for free is just amazing! We have picked up a couple discounted games over the past months, but most of what he plays are FREE! I watch him closely and the parental controls are RACKETED up to the highest level. I do think that he enjoys learning even more this way and feels like he is 'just like mom' when he is on his computer!!

Now I have made some comments - especially yesterday - about my 'creativity drive' being missing. I may have broken out of my slump. For over a week I have been working - well no, working isn't the right word, tearing apart my attempts at a custom order necklace. Last night I may have actually come up with something I like.... I don't want to show you the work - I might jinx it - but here are the beads I am primarily using.

Aren't they just the cutest things??? The necklace design was left up to me, it just needed to be beadwoven in black, grey and hot pink..... I think... I think.... I think I might have it!

Today I want to feature two different blogs that I get a LOT of use out of. The first one is Design-Seeds. This wonderful blog will inspire you with their photos, as well as, their color combos. Their theme is "For all who love color" and boy is that right. If you want to be inspired or just want to see some wonderful colors, please go visit them today.

Also I want to again mention Social Media Examiner. Although I don't comment on every post they do, I almost always read them from top to bottom. I listen to the videos and I pay attention to what they say. They are one the leading experts on all things Social Media! I can either look though recent posts or do a search for something specific and find information on so many Social Media topics. If you are trying to figure out about SEO or just wanted to know how the new FaceBook changes will effect you - this is the place to go. Please check them out and follow their blog - you may never know when you'll need just that 'right' question answered!!

3 Fabulous Friday

Any many of you may have noticed there was no post yesterday! My hubby were supposed to go out to dinner on Wednesday night for our annivasary, but then we went to a movie and since we had an overnight baby sitter we went to a hotel for the night! It was nice and very QUIET!!

I have to say, I can't wait for Monday. School starts, life gets back to routine and sanity! This summer has just been crazy! I don't think we have ever been this busy or crazy!

How has your summer gone? Has it been busy? Does it ever slow down?? It seems like each time life just raises the 'craziness' each time.

19 Fabulous Friday

Yesterday was my daughter's orientation day at her new school! She was so excited - to get a locker!! Yes, that seems to be the 'right of passage' that incoming 6th grades look forward to! She is in a class of advanced/gifted students that (including her) has only 3 girls!! OH BOY!! I think I'll try to put off the worrying about 'hormones' until at least the 2nd week of school, I THINK!! So, here she is - all 'cleaned up' to meet her new school, teachers and classmates! She was so excited she couldn't even stand still for a photo!!

I have started an online daily paper - the fun part is that it does all the work for me. I put in the places I would like it to take information from and it does the rest each day!! YA HOOO! Today I want to feature sweetiecaketopper's studio. The studio maybe in Bangkok, Thailand, but her work stretch all over the world! These amazingly detailed creations are cake toppers, however, they also double as salt/pepper shakers and little novelty creations!
