5 Frivolous Friday 6/13/14 (GOLF Bracelet, Social Media Examiner and Jasper)

Is it really Friday the 13th??  I guess so!  It is strange, I usually have a really weird day on Friday the 13th's, but they are not bad, just weird... I wonder what today will bring.  Are you 'superstitious'? Ummmm......

Today it is another day of talking about SEO's.  It struck me yesterday that many people may not even know what SEO stands for, so here is the definition:

Search Engine Optimisation or SEO is the simple activity of ensuring a website can be found in search engines for words and phrases relevant to what the site is offering.

 Basically it is the way that you are 'protraied' on the Internet.  How and when you are found when people search for you or your product.  This seems like such a simple thing, however, it really isn't.  There are so many things that go into the numbers that it is almost impossible to completely understand!

It is because of one of my favorite sites that I have learned almost everything I know.  This site is full of marketing tips, answers to questions you might have and also guides to help you with just about any part of SEO or Marketing on-line.  I have LONG been an email subscriber to this site and I would recommend you be one too!

There are a few other sites I use, but this one is the best and has the most information you can find.  They also have 'updates' whenever Facebook, Twitter or any of the other major sites make changes and how to adapt to them.

Here it is - my newest listing.....can you see it??  YES, it is a GLOW IN THE DARK set!!!!  I just love the look of it!!! I have to say, I made a necklace for my son - no, that isn't right, my son made himself a necklace out of these beads - and he has not taken it off since it was finished!! These beads are so very fun and beautiful to wear!!  In the sun they are a little 'blueish and greenish', but they look beautiful!! In the dark.......AMAZING!!

Here is Monster with his necklace creation.... he is very proud of it and said he will make more if anyone wants them!!!

Yesterday I finished my Glow In The Dark necklace set.  Do you know what that means??  Yes, that means I get to start something new!!  I have had a lot of requests for PURPLE lately....and yes, I love purple too, so I thought I would do something in PURPLE!! Now this center is a little different... I hope that I can do this one without much trouble.  It is carved and the edges are NOT the same all the way around.  It is also THICKER than I usually do, and I don't want to cover more than I have to....it is so cool to look THROUGH!!!  So, here is the starting beads....let's see what I can do!! Remember to my Fan Page or Google+ page to watch this creation grow throughout the day!!

Today's featured artist is:  MamaMahoneyCreations.  Like many of us this mother of 3 started making wonderful totes as gifts and it took off from there!  Now she creates most of her items as custom orders for you and they are just wonderful!!!  These totes have the 'glow in the dark' theme of the day.... how fun would that be??  You really must go look at this studio, it is full of fun and inspiring creations!! 2 Fabulous Friday

Many of you may remember back to the end of the last school year, my son, Monster won a laptop at a reading awards ceremony.  I realize that at 6 1/2 I can not rely on the computer to hold his attention, but is sure does!  I have to say that the quality of the games (that are educational without him realizing it) that are out there to play and download for free is just amazing!  We have picked up a couple discounted games over the past months, but most of what he plays are FREE!  I watch him closely and the parental controls are RACKETED up to the highest level.  I do think that he enjoys learning even more this way and feels like he is 'just like mom' when he  is on his computer!!

Now I have made some comments - especially yesterday - about my 'creativity drive' being missing.  I may have broken out of my slump.  For over a week I have been working - well no, working isn't the right word, tearing apart my attempts at a custom order necklace.  Last night I may have actually come up with something I like.... I don't want to show you the work - I might jinx it - but here are the beads I am primarily using.

 Aren't they just the cutest things???  The necklace design was left up to me, it just needed to be beadwoven in black, grey and hot pink..... I think... I think.... I think I might have it!

Also I want to again mention Social Media Examiner.  Although I don't comment on every post they do, I almost always read them from top to bottom.  I listen to the videos and I pay attention to what they say.  They are one the leading experts on all things Social Media!  I can either look though recent posts or do a search for something specific and find information on so many Social Media topics.  If you are trying to figure out about SEO or just wanted to know how the new FaceBook changes will effect you - this is the place to go.    Please check them out and follow their blog - you may never know when you'll need just that 'right' question answered!!
