2 Wacky Wednesday 3/20/13

Today is really a WACKY day! I have been working on a couple of new projects and for some reason they seem to be going CRAZY on me!!  I am not sure what/why I am unable to make my hands do what I want them to lately, but maybe, just maybe, I need a break.  I don't really mean a break from beading, just from all the 'extra stuff' of life!  I have been so 'on' for so long!  I am thinking of taking a couple of days and 'running away' for a few hours.  I don't just mean to get my nails done, I mean to the middle of the woods to sit and just 'be' for a while.  Do you ever feel this need? It is almost like needing to 'recharge' yourself!  So, next week is spring break for the kids and I might just take some time off.  Just go somewhere and BE for a bit....do you ever do that???

It is strange, but sometimes I forget to list my 'stranded' items!  I spend so much time showing off my beadweaving that I forget about all the OTHER creations I do!  So, here is a new one....this is so pretty!  It is simple and perfect for just about every outfit!  Do you like it??

Here is my current project, it is a custom order!  Just look at the way the bees POP on the blue beads....these bead/button bracelets are so fun to make.  They are made with free-form peyote, meaning that I don't have a pattern to follow.  I really like making them!! Today's featured artist is; BlueRoomPottery.   This Eighth Generation Potter has some of the most beautiful creations in her studio.  I have to say that the Earring Bowl I found is one of my favorites!!  Just look at this beautiful bowl and the amazing things you can do with it!  Talk about a perfect 'accessory' on your night stand!  But, there are so very many beautiful creations.....you just have to go look.  And remember, always support handmade artists!!

0 Manic Monday 3/18/13

Wow, what a weekend it was!!  I had so many things to do!! I have been working on a LARGE beading project (that I can't show you, YET) and I finally finished it!!  I'll give you some small hints, it has over 40,000 seed beads in it!! I finished it this weekend (working in between other projects for many weeks) and was able to get some great photos of it.  I also submitted it to the beading competitions that I was making it for.  Once I hear if I am a winner or not  - you will be the first to know!!!!

Over the weekend I also was able to finish this bracelet!!  Most of you watched it grow over on my fan page, and if you did miss it, you can watch the 'making' of video -

0 Thoughtful Thursday 3/14/2013

Today as I go about my day I am going to be thinking of how thankful I am that I can bead and stay home and do what I love.  This entire business venture is only possible because of my hubby!  He works everyday - rain or shine - to support us all.  Although I do make somewhat of a living making my creations I would never be able to support a family with my income.  And although I try to tell him ALL the time how much I appreciate him and love him it is still not words that make the difference!  I try to make sure that he know that he is loved - I'd make him a bracelet, but they aren't really his style!!! :) :) :)

What are YOU thankful for today?  It seems like it is always the SMALL things!!!

0 Wacky Wednesday 3/13/2013

Yesterday was WACKY!!  I don't know what happened with my camera, but I spent the afternoon taking, re-taking and editing photos OVER AND OVER for hours!!  I just don't understand!  I use this camera daily, and for the most part there is NO problem with my camera.  I am really not sure what happened this time!  I did the first set - BLURRY!  Changed batteries and tried again - BLURRY!  Cleaned the lenses and did a 're-set' on the camera - CLEAR!  I am not sure at what fixed the camera, but, it is fixed!!!  So, I am off to beading again!!!

Here is the finished Green and White bracelet for my entry into the CreationsColorChallengeGroup challenge.  I think it turned out very nice!!  You can click on the photo to go see the listing and the 'extra' photos of the bracelet if you would like.  Also, don't forget that everything I do is OOAK (One of a Kind), so grab it up if you like it!!!

So, what does it mean if I finish and list a creation???  It is time to start another one!!  I am just loving the RAW (Right Angle Weave), so I think I'll do another project with it.  This one, however, will only START out looking the same!  For any of you that don't know when I design my creations I usually start off with a vision in my head of how it will turn out.  Then the fun/hard part is getting the design to look like what I have in my mind for the project.  Once in a while the creation takes on a life of it's own, but usually it come out just about the way I wanted it to!!  So, here are the Dyed Jade beads I have chosen for this next creation....let's see where it takes us!!
