0 Weekend Re-Post 11/4/12

Marvelous Monday

Oh my goodness, what a weekend it was!  Aye got home about 630 Friday night and it was already raining!  The rain stayed through Saturday evening!  For me, that meant that I just HAD to stay inside and bead.....oh darn!?!  I worked on a couple more custom orders and actually got them done!!  YA HOOO!  Then I started this one...

As I am sure you can see, this is a Reggae themed item, but I'll leave it as that!  I want to tease you a little an see if you can guess!  I'll be posting update on my fan page too, if you want to watch this develop!!

Then there is my Creations Color Challenge entry!  Here is what I came up with.  I am actually very happy with it!  At first, I have to say, it was hard for me to do.  My girlfriend told me it was because I do creations that are so organized - and this bracelet is NOT!  But, I am glad I stuck with it....I really do love the end result!  What do you think?

Today's featured artist is someone that puts my busy, creative life, to shame!  This wonderful artist, RustyReindeer,  has three main focus's for her art (you'll have to read her bio to find out what they are)!  Looking out her wall of windows in her Northern New Mexico home gives her endless inspiration.  I have to say, that the philosophies by which she works should be ALL of ours!  Here they are:

My philosophies:
1) Gifts should be given from the heart and they should mean something; they should be special, artful, purposeful. Don't waste your money and give one unless it's the right one.
2) I want my customers to be pleased, and I want them to know I'm there for them when they need something special, something fast, something unique.
3) Produce quality work.
4) Be honest and do business with integrity.
5) Always improve!

Please go visit her studio and see all the wonderful creations.  This is just ONE of the bracelets that I fell in love with!

0 Fabulous Friday

 Oh my, it is finally Friday, isn't it?!?!  This was a short week for us - Monday being Labor Day - but somehow it made it actually LONGER!  I am not sure how that worked, but it did!

I have about 4 things working on my bead tray and I can't wait to show off a couple of them, but they are still in the works!  I did get this one finished and photographed - and listed in my ArtFire Studio.  What do you think?

 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Please go visit RustyReindeer,  and see all the beautiful creations she offers.  She creates like I do, by visualizing the creation in her head before she even starts.  I have to pass along her philosophies - these can be applied for life or for creating art!
My philosophies:
1) Gifts should be given from the heart and they should mean something; they should be special, artful, purposeful. Don't waste your money and give one unless it's the right one.
 Don't forget to let her know where you found out about her and PLEASE go see her studio and other links.....it will be sooooo worth your time!
Hops for today and the weekend!
As we approach September 11th I can't help to think about all the people who have suffered because of it.  Please take a moment  to stop and think of your loved ones and be THANKFUL!  ~KM
