The weekend was WONDERFUL!!!!!!  I forgot my camera so there aren't any photos of my booth from this show, but here is some from a precious show -

The crowd was slow, but very steady and they were ALL interested in looking around and buy the art.  Then on Sunday we spent the day at the movies and lunch at the mall.  OVER ALL,
it was a REALLY GREAT weekend!

3 Marvelous Monday

What a weekend!

I hope that all my fans and friends are safe after this monster storm, Irene.  I know that it didn't hit NY or Washington DC as hard as they expected, but there are MANY outlying areas that were actually hit harder than anyone thought they would be.  Please be safe and remember that NOTHING is as important as your life!

Over the weekend I finished my Brown and Yellow entry into the current - Creations Color Challenge - Yellow and Brown.  I just LOVE this bracelet.  It is so fun to make and just SOOOOOO wonderful to wear.  It feels 'slinky' and smooth on your arm and moves so well you hardly know it is there!
  This is also acting as my NEW listing for today in my ArtFire Studio!!

Today I want to feature PhylPhil.  With piles of yarn all over her house even her husband has to admit that she is talented!  I just love all her items listed  in her studio - and the babies are cute too!  Please go check out all her creations and make sure you let her know where you heard about her!

1 Marvelous Monday

Oh my goodness, what a weekend it was!  Aye got home about 630 Friday night and it was already raining!  The rain stayed through Saturday evening!  For me, that meant that I just HAD to stay inside and bead.....oh darn!?!  I worked on a couple more custom orders and actually got them done!!  YA HOOO!  Then I started this one...

As I am sure you can see, this is a Reggae themed item, but I'll leave it as that!  I want to tease you a little an see if you can guess!  I'll be posting update on my fan page too, if you want to watch this develop!!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Then there is my Creations Color Challenge entry!  Here is what I came up with.  I am actually very happy with it!  At first, I have to say, it was hard for me to do.  My girlfriend told me it was because I do creations that are so organized - and this bracelet is NOT!  But, I am glad I stuck with it....I really do love the end result!  What do you think?
Today's featured artist is someone that puts my busy, creative life, to shame!  This wonderful artist, RustyReindeer,  has three main focus's for her art (you'll have to read her bio to find out what they are)!  Looking out her wall of windows in her Northern New Mexico home gives her endless inspiration.  I have to say, that the philosophies by which she works should be ALL of ours!  Here they are:
My philosophies:
1) Gifts should be given from the heart and they should mean something; they should be special, artful, purposeful. Don't waste your money and give one unless it's the right one.
2) I want my customers to be pleased, and I want them to know I'm there for them when they need something special, something fast, something unique.
3) Produce quality work.
4) Be honest and do business with integrity.
5) Always improve!
Please go visit her studio and see all the wonderful creations.  This is just ONE of the bracelets that I fell in love with!
