4 Talented Tuesday 11/4/14 (LightCatchers by Lynn, KraftyMax and a Dragonfly)

 

Today I would like to show 'myself' off!!  As many of you know I have been eating healthier and working out - trying to become the best version of myself.  This was taken about 6 months ago after a craft show.

And here I am - almost 50 pounds lighter and about 4 dress sizes (from a 26 down to a 20) - during last weekend's craft show.  What do you think??

 I still have about 100 pounds to go, but I am LOVING the new 'me'!! 

I know that I showed off this one, but not many people have seen it, so I thought I would show it off again!!  Don't you love the stone?  The colors?  I think this one can go for ANY season and just about ANY outfit!!

Today I would like to introduce Ms. Lynn Mehlenbacher, the Owner/Designer of

LightCatchers by Lynn.   This is one of those artists that not only has passion, but truly loves what she does!! Each of her hand designed and hand made Stained Glass creation is unique to her vision!  I have to tell you that I just love them all!!  I have always been fascinated with Stained Glass (and dabbled in it when I was younger) but NOTHING compares to these beautiful works of art!  

And here, is a little bit of info that you just are going to be amazed at......she's only been creating these beautiful artworks for....about 6 months!!!!  I am simply blown away!!!  And here is another bit....she is self taught off YouTube!!!! All I can say is WOW!!

12 Frivolous Friday 4/11/14 (Krafty Max in person, Teal Earrings and a 5 Prizes)

Today I will be beading, relaxing and getting ready for teaching tonight.  Yep, wonderful day! It is funny, but I have been really focused lately on my business and creations....I always am, but a little more lately...I am ready to MOVE to the next level!!  I hope that I am on track for that...if you know of any recommendation on what more I can do....please, please, feel free to tell me!! :)

Do NOT like photos of myself!  That being said, I have been giving this a LOT of thought!  I am going to show you two photos of myself!!  This is for so many reasons!!  First, because I am always asked to show photos of my....the person behind the creations....and second, as incentive!  YEP, that is right.  Once I post these photos it is 'out there' and I will have to deal with how big I am.  Over the past few years I have really gained a lot of weight and I am now 'really' ready to make a change.  So this is my 'come to the truth' moment....anyone that wants to join me on this journey can post a photo in the comments....I'd love to have company!  Here we go....drum roll please....

And as you have watched, I have been working on the Tree with a Swing strap.  This has been a simple spiral - that is a very time consuming pattern!! 4 Manic Monday 7/8/13

 Oh my goodness, this is truly a MANIC MONDAY!! I have so much to tell you, so much to show you and a LOT of great comments!!  I am just so excited about my announcement!!  I have been keeping this for a week or so and it has been really hard for me!!!!!  So, should I start off with my news or make you wait.....uuummmm.... oh , I can't wait!!!

I applied for an amazing partnership with Prima Beads.  There were MANY who applied, but only 10 of us where chosen...and yep, one of them way MEEEEE!!  Here is the program - in a 'minute' - and boy, is it a fun one!  We will be sent a month 'themed' box of supplies to then create something with.  We will then 'show off' our creations!!!  How wonderful is that???

I received my 'welcome' package and the first months package over the weekend - and OH BOY, am I excited!!!! I can't wait to create something with all the goodies I received!!  Here is the JUST the welcome package......

Today I have to start off by telling you what I received in the mail....my dear friend and fellow beader, Ms. Charis at bluesharkdiva sent me my custom ordered necklace.  After long discussion we came up with the perfect color scheme and shape.  I had already won one of her wonderful rings - a while back - and so we matched the colors and design with that....

and then I also just had to order something for my AYE....so here is a mirror/jewelry hanger that was also designed by bluesharkdiva....

All I can say is BEAUTIFUL!!!  I just love her work and can't wait to wear it out - maybe even on my next date night with my husband.  You can find her at:

And now for my featured artist....another wire worker, but Mr. Sal is a talented WIRE SCULPTOR!  I just love these beautiful trees that he has done.    Growing up in Northern California I saw many trees that were wind swept and looked like they had their own personality to them....these are right their with them.  The beauty and uniqueness that I see in each of Sal Villano's work is just remarkable.  Please check out this wonderful artist, MARK him for the future and let him know where you heard of him.

1 Terrific Tuesday

This is a Terrific Tuesday!  

Yesterday was another day at school - it is amazing, I go to drop off some paperwork and end up spending 3 hours there!  I don't mind, please do not get me wrong, it is just a 'glitch' in my plan!

I took a couple of photos of my flowers yesterday - they just looked SOOO beautiful I had to!
