0 Tantalizing Tuesday 8/6/13

Yep, it is Tuesday!!  Can you believe it??  Just think, 2 days ago it was the weekend....uck!  I have to tell you that I am always 'behind'!!  Not really, but I always feel like I need to do more.  Do you ever feel that way?  It is hard for me to think about all the designs I would like to do, the creations I have planned out and then sit and take the time to actually bead!! I realize that I am faster than most beaders, but I just can't keep up with the designs in my head!  I often have to write them down!  It is like jewelry overload!!  I am truly one of those people that completely loves what I do and it seems to be such a fine line between a healthy obsession and a unhealthy possession!!

Tantrum Thursday 5/31/12

Today I want to show off something that was hand made for ME, buy my Monster.  This is my dragonfly!  In Art Club they were given a project to make a butterfly, however (I found out from the art teacher) my Monster spoke up and said;

My Mom doesn't like butterflies, she likes dragonflies, I want to make a dragonfly!

So, the wings were turned around and he got to work.  This is several weeks worth of work.  There are patterns stamped into the pieces (including 2 for the eyes) and then they were painted - by hand of course and then fired and put together.  I am just so amazed at my Monsters talent!   So this, will be going up on our wall, right next to a family photo!!

I also would like to show off one of my creations.  This beautiful Cloisonne centerpiece is another find from my Grandmother's Stash.  I have no idea how old it is, but it is just beautiful.  Right along with the beauty is the fact that it is also hollow, so it is VERY light.  There are two sides, and they are beaded a little differently so that there are two 'looks'.  Please click on the photo and look at the last 2 photos on the listing to see the difference in the sides.  ENJOY!

Fabulous Friday

And here it is again, FABULOUS FRIDAY!!  Yep, it sure is!!   Another busy week, two rants in one week, two open houses, a series of Doctor's appointments (nothing wrong, just routine) and all THAT DRIVING!  So here is where my kids ended up at the Doctors office...... do you THINK it was a busy day, or what??

I also wanted to show you a photo of my birthday present I had custom made for my mom.... I told her that I wanted something with a scarecrow and fall'ish.  This is what she came up with - BEAUTIFUL - you can click on the photo to go see her FanPage and some of her other work.

2 Marvelous Monday 7/2/12

What a weekend it has been!  My wonderful friend - AmbersArtAlley - came down to visit us and enjoy the 'cool weather'!!  Yep, she's from Savanna and up there it was almost 20 degrees hotter!!  OMG... she went south to get cool....something it wrong with that!  It is HOT here to, the only good I can say is that it is drying up all the rain we got....but that is about the ONLY thing I can say about the heat! Here is a photo that Amber took when we were up in Savanna... yep, it is MONSTER!!

Today is truly a FABULOUS FRIDAY!  First, my kids are back!  Because I was supposed to be at camp this week I had them staying with one of my best friends - AmbersArtAlley.  Yesterday I spent the day with her, her kids and mine doing a walking tour of historic Savannah!  It was wonderful!

I left early yesterday to go get the kids, so I didn't blog, that means that I have TWO new creations to show off... yes, they are both from Grandmother's Stash.   These boxes that my Grandmother left for me are ALMOST bottomless!  I am just amazed every time I look at just some of the things I have pulled out so far.... thank you Grandmother.
