We have a WINNER!!!! Victoria Rickert, you have 48 hours to claim your prize!!!

Today I get to tell you more about Ms. Rosemari Roast, owner/designer for Walk in the Woods, LLC.  Yesterday I told you about a little bit of her creativity, today I'll tell you more!! When I asked her how she learned how to do her art, here is what she said.... I am self taught, however, "We're inspired by others, and folks pass on certain skills to us, yet what we choose to do and make is our own signature of expression".  I think that says it all!!

I have to tell you that I often write 'my version' of  the interview, but again, Ms. Roast says it better than I can.  When I asked her about how she come to her craft, here is what she said; "With respect to the herbal and Nature side of my activities, I feel as if I came into this life with a knowing. As a little girl I grew up with a pear tree, plum tree, apple tree, cherry tree and small grape arbor. I'm sure my dad taught me their names, but they felt like friends too. When I was a bit older I would wander wild places alone and nibble things, trustfully. I would bring home to my mother wild blueberries, blackberries, onion, turnip. She loved the turnip. I did not. To this day I remind folks that "you've gotta wonder what inspired me to dig the earth for that turnip root."

I have already told you that I have several of her small journals, but now, I think I might have to get some of her beautiful bags too!!  Just look at these!!! And at her herbal creations!!!  Go look at her site, like her pages and then come back tomorrow and I'll show off my favorites and tell you even more about this amazing artist!!!

2 Talented Tuesday 11/11/14 (Walk in the Woods, Veteran's Day and Give-A-Way)

For me, today means a lot!  My father (and most of my male relatives) served in the military, I served in the Navy for 4 years, my oldest son served in the Army, and now my husband has over 20 years with the Army / Army National Guard!  So, for me, military has always been a way of life! There have only been about 1 year of my adult life that I haven't been some part of the military! So, when I say that Veteran's Day means a lot, I mean it!

To all those who have served

no matter how long or in what type of service

I honor you!

Here are a couple of creations from my studio that you could wear on the next 'Red, White and Blue' day!!  Or, if you are like me.....any day!  And they are all 30% off until the end of today!

Did you see it??  This red cameo is starting to come together!!! Here is where I start off today....with the front finished!! So, if you want to, you can come on over to my Fan Page, Google+ Page, or my Instagram Page; I post 'working photos' throughout the day!

This Give-A-Way ends today, so get your entries in....and don't forget your daily entries!!

Today I am honored to introduce you to Ms. Rosemari Roast, owner/designer for Walk in the Woods, LLC.  I have the luck to own several of this amazing artists notebooks!!  I have to tell you that my daughter owns one too and is VERY protective of it...not just who sees it, buy what she puts in it!!

When I asked Ms. Roast to describe her art, she said 'In a nutshell, holistic-rooted, Nature-inspired art and craft' and for me, that says it all!! And she does.  All of her creations, no matter what it is, speaks of/for nature!!  Also being an herbalist she creates items that 'flow' together as well!

Tomorrow I will tell you LOTS more about her, but for now, visit her sites and remember to let her know where you heard about her amazing creations!!
