Oh my, what a fun day yesterday was - NOT!!!  I really hate computers!  I love what they do and how it keeps me in-touch with everyone, however, the daily fight to just keep them running is almost to much!!  I have been dealing with this 'computer issue' for almost a year now.  It seem to get it fixed and running really good (but it is all a false sense of security) and then it happens again!  I really have to break down and by a new computer, a BIG BAD one, it is just that I don't want to spend the money...but, time is money, right?  And let me tell you, on days like yesterday......even my beads don't calm me down!! :)  

All that being said I am off to a FRESH - NEW - HAPPY start today!!  I am going to spend the day beading and realizing (maybe some laundry in there) and having a wonderful day!  Right?  RIGHT!!!!

0 Wacky Wednesday 12/18/13 (Aye, Lisa WIngate and Prima Blog Bead Team)

Yesterday was my daughters birthday!  And oh boy, did we have fun!!  The morning was spend beading and enjoying my time in the quiet house!  But, when it was time for gifts and cake....well, she did turn 14!!!  (Isn't it funny how saying their age explains everything?)

Yes, her real name is Ashley.  We have called her Aye for about 8 years (it was my son's first word...we thought he was saying "I", but he was calling for his sister!)

A Leather Jacket from mom and dad (on the wish list for a long time)

A Purple 'Fluffy' Pillow from Grandma K.

And much more!  Let me tell you, this girl is well loved!!  We even had several of her friends stop by throughout the afternoon and drop off gifts!!  She may not realize it yet - because of her age - but she leaves a mark on everyone she meets!!  She and I have a wonderful relationship and I am so very proud of her!!

Anyone of you that follow me know that I just love Lisa Wingate!  I am one of the VERY lucky people that get to review her new books (and I usually give one away too)!!  This was her last book (amazing like always) and recently I was lucky enough to also be able to enter a drawing for a creation from Sandy's Seashell Shop (you have to read the book to understand).  I was drawn!!  WHOOO HOOOOOO I was doing the happy dance when I opened the package that held this great little bottle and earrings!!  BEAUTIFUL!!  Please - if you haven't already - read some of her books.  You will be inspired and touched be then all!  (P.S. The 3rd book will be out early next year!!)

0 Tantalizing Tuesday 12/17/13 (Aye's Birthday, A Gift and a New Project)

Yesterday I was in a EPIC battle with my computer again!!  I have to tell you that I really think that even if I get it working - the computer still wins!!  I spend so much time 'fighting' with it that somehow I just feel like a winner when it will finally work again! 

I had a wonderful weekend though!!  I was able to spend so much time with my family and finish my Christmas shopping...not really bead, but the other was fun too!!  :) 

There are so many things to show off today, so I had better get to it!!

Today's new listing is actually from the Prima Blog Team New Years beads I received!!

  Here is what I started with.....

 I thought I would do a little different than the traditional Black and Silver and really make a bold statement with Black and HOT PINK!!  This would make a wonderful statement for that New Years party - don't you think??  This is the first of several from this set of beads....

Through on of my Beading Face Book Groups I participated in a HOLIDAY GIFT SWAP.  I was very lucky to get a wonderful lady named Sam Waghorn.  She is a very talented lady and after a couple of quick emails we discovered that we have a LOT in common!!  We are the same age, our backgrounds are similar and through this we quickly became friends.  Yesterday when I received her package from the UK I was 'doubley' lucky.  Not only did she send me this amazing necklace with a handmade glass center piece, but she also send me an amazing 'face' from BlueberriBeads.  The note wished me a Merry Christmas and that she saw this 'face' and thought I would be able to create something with it!  So, not only did I get an amazing necklace creation, but a bead to create something with!!!!  WHOOO HOOO!!
