2 Manic Monday 3/4/13

The weekend for us was full of fun and family!  On Saturday we spend the day at Hubby's Forida Nation Guard Unit helping out with a Homemade Chili and Hotdog Lunch fundraiser!!  It was COLD and WINDY, but so much fun!!  It is nice to be able to be around hubby's unit, they are so friendly and so many of them are like family to us - we've been with this unit for over 10 years!

 Today my featured artist is; byKEONA.  I am completely fascinated with this great artist!!  She describes herself as; Rodeo Drive Hippie Flower Child.  Just that alone should tell you something!! ;) But, I have to say that after look around her studio I am so inspired!!  She has something for just about everyone, and in many 'new' fashionably styles that have the old and new in a twist.  Please go visit her studio and I am sure you'll find something that you enjoy!!

On this wonderful Friday I would like to thank Ms. Linda Lewis - Creative Artworks Blog one more time!! She did such a wonderful review of my bracelet and then ran this amazing give-a-way for me!

2 Wacky Wednesday 2/27/13

I have to tell you that living with a child who has mental 'issues' is sometimes very hard.  People on the outside - including family - look at him and say 'he looks normal' or they think that we should treat him 'like normal'.  First off, I have never really liked 'normal', but there is something to say for trying to raise your children the way you were raised and then being told that it is all wrong - for this child only. Monster has his own rhythm and beat to life and although his looks like every other 8 year old on the outside there is a little boy that struggles with EVERYTHING on the inside! 

That being said, let me just say that many times in my day there are WACKY moments in my life - and most of them are due to Monster and his love of life!!

0 Tantalizing Tuesday 2/26/13

Many of you know about the upcoming feature in Beadwork Magazine, but what most of you know know is that I have been waiting for almost 4 months for this to come out..... I was asked to NOT show off the beads I worked with, the design or even any working photos!  For me, that has been hard!  This creation might just be one of my best creations ever and I can't show anyone!!!!!!  Well, the good news is that the publish date for the magazine is March 7th and I am on the edge of my seat!!  I am not sure what was written, how the photos turned out, or even if they LIKED the design!!!  BUT, here is sit, waiting and waiting  - both to show off my creation and see my creation in print!!!!

I'll give you one hint.....the creation had LOTS of purple in it!!!

Today's featured artist is: CurvyClothingAUS.  Now I know that this store is NOT handmade, however, I fell in love with their clothing line when I received a pancho simular to this one as a gift last year.  I just had to look at the label and then go find this amazing shop.  I am a 'plus size' woman that has a VERY hard time finding things that are CUTE, FLATTERING and not to expensive in my size.  The other problem is that my SIZE seems to be an issue for different brands.  In some brands I am a 26 - in some I am a 18!!!  THAT is a BIG difference.  Also, I have found that most aren't really made to fit larger women, they are just 'larger sized'.  So, of course, now you can see why I fell in-love with this store!!  I was told that they also have a BIG sale on Wednesday and Thursday on their fan page - https://www.facebook.com/CurvyClothingAUS - so make sure you check them out!!!! 0 Manic Monday 2/26/13

The weekend was a wonderful - fun - family event!! I spent most of my weekend with my kids and hubby!  We watched the Dayton 500 (yes, we are a NASCAR family) and caught up on some gossip from both kids schools!!  :)  It was a great weekend that ended with a game of Yahtzee that my daughter won!!!  There was some beading done, mostly on a BIGGER project that I am working on to enter into some beading competitions, but family was the focus!!

I have been working on a review item for Sweet n Sour Deals.  I was told that she liked purples, crystals and Tinkerbell, so just watch and see what I came up with!!! Here is where I left of on Friday with the working photos...
