It is finally here!
It is finally here!
I am so excited to reveal to you what I made!!
First let me start off by saying thank you to Ms. Lori Anderson at Pretty Things Blog for doing her wonderful Bead Soup Party again. I was lucky enough to get chosen and am just thrilled to see what everyone else - including my swap partner - Beaded by Sandra has come up with.
Here is what I was sent....
Isn't it a beautiful mix?
I had so much fun trying different designs and adding in different beads to the mix. The first project I did was - of course - the Purple beads. The deep purple beads are Purple Agate and they are just 'shimmering' with color. Then I just HAD TO use the beautiful Swarovski Crystals - in Purple Haze. These added just the right amount of sparkle to the mix. Now I needed to add 'just a little bit more' beads to fill up the strand. I happened to have some beautiful Porcelain beads that were Purple Marble in color... a great fit! Add in the BEAUTIFUL Sterling Toggle Clasp that she sent and some end caps and findings and.... here is what I came up with:
The next bead/centerpiece that drew my attention was the very 'earthy' bird from SpiritedEarth. The Greek Ceramic beads blended so well into the theme I was going for that I kept the earthy look going with some Unakite stones that I already had in stock. This necklace set just 'screams' Mother Earth, what do you think?
And now on to the wonderful Chili Pepper colored - top drilled - Swarovski Crystals. These are so WARM that I had to pair them with something totally different. So, Black Swarovski Crystals it was. This is a Gold Plated Spring Wire bracelet with a safety chain - just in case.
And I was done!
I figured I would use the last of the beads on another project - later on down the road. BUT, one of my loyal fans (Gypsy Road Beads) found out that I wasn't using the last few and encouraged me to make something with them... so, here they are:
These beautiful pottery beads are made by Elements Pottery and they were a wonder to work with. They have SO much texture and beauty to them.
SO, here it all is - in one look!!!
Now the fun part is that all of us that were involved in this great Bead Soup Party are now having a BLOG party to go with it!!! Here is the link to join in! Come along with us and see what all the others (there were 200 people participating) received and made with their Bead Soup!
