0 Fascinating Friday 7/19/13

My goodness, it is the end of another week already!! I have to say that if this keeps up I'll be even more grey than I already am!! I LOVE IT!!! :)

Today I am not showing off a new creation, but a new give-a-way!! I have gathered some of the items I still have left from the Prima Beads Blog Team welcome package and some of my own stash (all silver plated findings) and even a starter book - and then put it into another give-a-way. I have opened the shipping up to the UK and Canada. So please, look below and click to enter!!

1 Marvelous Monday 1/30/12

What a Marvelous Monday it is! Over the past weekend I actually got caught up with my life! YEP!! I was able to do some beading, some cleaning and even had a dinner out for Hubby for his Birthday!

So what did I do for the beading part? Oh, you will love some of the new designs. This is the first one, it is ALL green, but soooo sparle'ly!! This is one of those sets that you can wear with your business suit or with jeans. I love sets that can be used fro dress up or dress down. What do you think?

Next I would like to talk about my featured artist; dye2spin. I just love the name and the way that their roving and some of their yarn is displayed!! Isn't it just tooo cute? She has some wonderful GREEN ways of dying and cleaning your roving. Here is what she does - in her own words, "I use dye techniques that are a bit different from the normal or usual methods. I completely avoid the use of plastic wrap because I cannot sleep at night if I know that I'm putting more trash into landfills". Please go check out all the other ways she 'stays green' and makes these wonderful items on her bio page. Remember, support our handmade artists when you can.

10 Marvelous Monday

HELLLLOOOOOO!

Yes, Yes, YES I am!! After loosing one after another program (removing and reinstalling them didn't help at all) and then loosing my Internet again I gave up! Well, actually I gave in. I purchased a new computer late last week. My 4 year old laptop had finally given in. I was still able to access all my files and folders, just not the programs that were needed to open the files. I also had invested in an external hard drive about a year ago and that made transferring everything very easy!

I have to say that I did get a lot of beading done though! The only down side was that I was often flustered about the computer. Strange, I really don't like all the time the computer takes, but I do enjoy working on it! What is that? And OXYMORON?

So, here is what I have made over the past week..... let me know what you think, please!!

And here is what I got in the mail on Saturday. This little muse is much cuter in person than it is in these photos. I have to say little things, like the texture, just add to the look even more. Thank you so very much to QuernusCrafts for her wonderful creation. She and I worked on this for some time and not only did she make me a great dragonfly but also a great muse for my creations. 3 Marvelous Monday

This is a BUSY but Marvelous Monday!! My friend over at QuernusCrafts has been working on a DRAGONFLY for me. I just LOVE her work and have been 'on the edge of my seat' waiting for her to finish. Here it is!!

Isn't HE beautiful? She created a number of different millefiori canes for each of the body segments to build up a rainbow of different patterns - can you just imagine?? OH MY GOODNESS! You can click on the photo and go to her page to see the other photos/angles. I can't wait until he is here with me, inspiring me and making my studio beautiful - just by being in it!!
