0 Traditional Thursday 6/12/14 (Vintage Glasses, Fire Mountain Gems and Pretty Chic Boutique)

 

Today should be another wonderful day of beading.....I hope!  It is supposed to storm most of the day which means the kids will be in the house and BORED!  OH BOY!  It will be a 'put a movie in' or 'play in your room' kind of day for me!!  I love my kids, but they get bored very easy and if they can't spend their days outside life is just not happy for them! 

But, the good news, they are still 'loving' the rubber band creations, so that should keep them very busy! 

 

 

Again, nothing brand new to show off, but I just love looking through my studio to find some creations to 'show off'!!  I have over 600 creations in my ArtFire studio, so look around if you get a moment!!

Right now she is using the Instagram for her studio - and I have looked through it, it is fun and very full of great creations to look at.  As I mentioned she also has a brink and mortar store at the local farmers market.  AND, in the works - her own website!  

As you can see, this artist is off and running!! Below is even a photo of her daughter modeling one of her dress sets and a overall view of her boutique.   Like I said, worth the look!!

0 What's New Wednesday 6/11/14 (My Dad, Grandmother's Stash and Pretty Chic Boutique)

Is today really Wednesday?  I guess so!! I have been so involved with my beading, kids and the beautiful weather that the last couple of days have 'flown' by!!  Do you ever get like that?  Days DRAG on and then move in SUPER SPEED?? Well, that is my week so far!! :)  

Last night I was thinking about my Dad a lot and here is a photo from my childhood that is my very favorite!!  He ran the the science camp program for our school at Point Reyes. It was a week long camp that I was able to attend as a 'helper' when I was young and my mom was the cook, as a 'camper' when it was my turn and then as a counselor (this photo) when I was a teenager. In this photo is my Dad and I at the Morgan Horse ranch at Point Reyes. That was fun!!! I miss the 'easy days'!!

This is one of those that I created from my Grandmother's Stash!!  I am so proud of EVERYONE of them!!! And this one.....very BLUE!

 Yesterday I introduced you to Ms. Kayla Reed from Emmas Extras LLC and also the brick and mortar boutique - Pretty Chic Boutique.  Today I would like to tell you a little bit more about how she got started making all these wonderful creations.

When she started it was all about recycling clothing and making wraps for her young daughter and herself.  She did it out of necessity because buying them at the stores were just getting to expensive.  So, she bought herself a sewing machine and taught herself!!  After a little bit of trial and error she found out that not only could she make them, but they looked wonderful when they were done!

0 Talented Tuesday 6/10/14 (Monster, Hello Kitty and Pretty Chic Boutique)

Yesterday was so nice... rest, relaxation and beads!  And then there is the new project the kids and I worked on.... my son has discovered the rubber band craze!  Yesterday was spend sorting and organizing and a little making too!!

I have to say, this has kept his attention so very much!!  He is even wanting to sell them to make money - his life is about selling thing to make money in order to buy more toys!! I have told him if he makes some I'll post them - just in case any of you are interested! :)

Although this isn't a brand new creation, it is one of those that would make your summer wonderful!!  I just love the way the Swarovski Crystals 'glow' in this one!!

 

Today I would like to introduce to you Ms. Kayla Reed from Emmas Extras LLC and also the brick and mortar boutique - Pretty Chic Boutique.  This very talented artist makes everything from clothing to accessories and from fabric headbands to floral crowns!  Her focus is on 'sparkles' and 'flowers'!!  I just love the look of her store - very girly!!  

 It is easy to see how this great artist is makes all her customers smile!!  

Her art started as 'trial by fire' - like many of us - she went out, bought a sewing machine and started sewing!!  Very quickly she found her rhythm and found a great way to make items that will make you shine in any outfit!
