20 Thoughtful Thursday 1/24/13

So, today is a THOUGHTFUL day, hu?

Well, I have to say that I THOUGHT more people read my blog!! I am completely surprised that so few people actually read it.  Yesterday I did a 'little test' to see who was paying attention and WOW!  It makes me wonder if I do these posts more for myself than for others.  I have to say that it is making me wonder if I should continue to post daily posts on this blog.  Sorry, I really am not trying to make anyone 'feel sorry' for me or to sound desperate, however, it takes a bunch of my time to write, organize and create these posts every morning (and yes, I do it every morning, not in advance) or if I should spend my time doing other things.  Also, I am wondering if my 'give-a-ways' are actually drawing people to my blog and creations, or if they are just giving people something!!  I know, it seems selfish, but although I want to give things away I also do not have unlimited resources!  So, my question, on this THOUGHTFUL THURSDAY is.....

What do you think?
Do you really read my blog?
Do you really get anything out of it?
Should I focus my time other places??
Do you have suggestions about how I can improve or change my blog?

And now, do you know who this person is??  I will be talking about her (and what she does) a BUNCH over the next few weeks!!  Anyone remember, I've talked about her before??

Today's featured artist is; Clearwater_Creations.  This great artist is like many of us that started out when we were young children and then - life got in the way!  This lady is a Ph.D. research scientist and she SEWS too!!  She now is doing her creations full time and boy, aren't they wonderful!!  These amazing oven mitts look SOOO much better than store bought!  Remember, always support handmade artist whenever you can!!

  5. I read and really enjoy your blog!!! You are a true inspiration. I don't know about the giveaways. I have seen recently so many pages on FB hosting them having many vendors supply an item to gain "fans" to their page. Only to have them leave once the give away is over. I think it's becoming the nature of the beast. Sadly... You have something so unique to offer the world. You have an amazing talent and an amazing soul that shines through. I thank you from the bottom of my heart for "being here" for me. You have no idea just how much your daily "connection" on here and FB affects the world at least my little world. You have given me the mental shove to take a chance and go learn the craft I have always just wished I knew. Thank you my friend. Thank you...~terry

  9. Thank you so much for featuring Clearwater Creations today! It was such a wonderful surprise to get your message on Artfire. I don't know how you can do a blog post every morning! That is amazing. I was trying to do one a week, and that's been sadly lacking. Seems my part-time teaching gets in the way, but it does better at paying the bills than my sewing does. Thanks again for the fabulous promotions.

  10. I enjoy your blog! I don't have time to read it EVERY day, but I do like to see what you've come up with - blogging every day would wipe my brain completely clean of ideas LOL But since I also follow you on fb, I stay very well caught up, so only have to skim the blog some days. But I enjoy everything you do!
