0 Etsy Beadweavers Team Chalange

As many of you know I have recently been excepted into the very prestigious Etsy Beadweavers Team. This is a group of bead weavers that is at the top of their game! I love every piece i see, if for nothing else for the work and patience that went into it!

So, being a new member I had to set down and make something for the July Chalange. I am coping my description from etsy on my entry, it explains it all....

This Krafty Max Original creation was designed as my entrance into my first Etsy Beadweavers Team challenge. I recently was accepted as a member and immediately set out to make a special piece for my first entrance into the monthly challenge. I must tell everyone that I had a design in mind, however, when I was about 80% done with it I broke a bead (after about 10 hours of work) and the bead cut 3 strands of beading thread and my piece of art literally fell in half in my hands. Frustrated I was about to start over when this design pushed its way into my mind. The broken piece still sits on my desk (I haven’t even taken it apart yet) and this one took on a life of its own.

Once I started this piece I sat and did little to nothing else until it was done. I then had to show it off to a few friends to see if it passed muster, they said yes, and so here it is!

The necklace is hand netted and there are 5 layers in it. One of the layers is intertwined so that some of the strands go under and some over the previous layer. This is to show how two lives become intertwined with each other the moment the wedding vows are spoken.

Glass pearls, 10o seed beads and Delica fringe beads were used in this necklace. I finished it off with a Gold Plated safety clasp (just in case) and can be adjusted in length if needed.

So, please make sure that you mark your calendars and go vote for me (if you like my work) between the 9th and the 16th of July. Thanks!!!!
