Is it really Wednesday already?  How many days until Christmas???? Oh my.  Who is ready??  I am not sure if I am or not!! I don't think so...guess it is time to get out my list - check it twice - and figure out what else I need to make and/or buy!!!

Today I would like to tell you more about my dear friend Ms. Gail Pither the owner/designer at CrossStitchCards.  After making cards for all her friends and family she started making them to sell a few years ago while she was living in California!!  I was lucky enough to be able to meet her in person when I was home on Vacation a couple of years ago and let me tell you - we are kindred spirits!!  It is amazing how bits of floss and paper can turn into such amazing pieces of art.  And let me tell you, when you hand one of these cards over to someone....the fun and joy in their eyes is worth everything!! (That reminds me, I need to stock up again)!!

Selling and stitching her own cross-stitch designs makes everything she does unique and beautiful!!!  Here are a few of my favorites.....it is so hard to just choose a couple!!

2 Talented Tuesday 12/16/14 (CrossStitchCards, Fireworks and Give-A-Ways)

Today I will be working on my Fireworks bracelet, doing laundry and maybe even putting the roast in the crock-pot....maybe!!  Beading and finishing Christmas gifts seems to take over my time right now....the dishes can wait!! :)  Do you ever feel overwhelmed?  Like there isn't enough time in each day to create all the things you would like to??  I already don't sleep much, now I am dreaming of the projects that I have still to do.....but at least they are happy dreams full of beads!! :)

Today I am honored to introduce you to a friend and fellow artist; Ms. Gail Pither the owner/designer at CrossStitchCards.  This amazing artist started doing Cross stitch about 12 years ago.  It all started with a design out of a magazine, and then..... she fell in love with Cross Stitch!  I personally have given many of her cards out and it is easy to see the joy that people get when they open that envelope and see those cards (my mom frames them and puts them on her wall)!! 

Now she deigns her own patterns (and sell them too) to create her beautiful cards, wall hangings and bookmarks.  The way she finished her cards just adds to the beautiful stitching that she does!!

4 Fabulous Friday 12/7/12

Here is my last set of photos from our trip!  The first photo I would like to show off is something that simply 'made the trip'.  After being personal friends for many years via the web, I was able to meet this wonderful lady for the first time - in person!  We were able to spend a couple of days crafting, talking and basically just 'being' together throughout my trip.  Who is this wonderful lady??  Ms. Gail Pither from CrossStitchCards.  I sooooo enjoyed our visits and look forward to seeing her again soon!  (I'm on the left)

Then there was our trip to Wienerschnitzel's.  We don't have them in Florida, so for the kids and I it was a great treat!  And since you are there you just HAVE to have an ice cream....

And there was also a visit from our FAMOUS friend - Author Charity Maness.  I was able to get a SIGNED copy of her newest book to add to my collection....It's Lonely Here in Hell....this one is a very emotional book!! (that's my mom on the right)

And now I will close with this perfect photo - this is Monster with his grandfather after a day of playing and being grandpa's 'shadow'.  Talk about a great day!

My featured artist today is; JohnHarmonGallery.  This amazing photographer captures the world around him in such 'living' detail.  The area he has his studio in is an area I know well.  I spent the summers 'just down the road' from where his studio is, it is both beautiful and wild.  I am very amazed at the details he captures in his animal photos as well.  You really must go check out his on-line studio and see what I am talking about.  Remember, always support handmade artists whenever you can.

Tantalizing Thursday 2/24/11

I just couldn't find anything to 'throw a tantrum' about today.  Over the past few weeks I have been very lucky to have been OUTSIDE and doing things with my kids!  I showed you photos of our weekend, and here is a little slide show from our Nature Walk at Ringhaver Park  yesterday.  I really felt the need for a walk, so we did the whole 1 mile trial.  

With waters, camera and fresh grapes in hand it was a 
wonderful afternoon for Aye, Monster, Ziggy and I. 

And then when we came home I found my order from CrossStitchCards.  OH MY!!!  These are not only beautifully made, but beautifully packaged and definitely made with love and care!   I can't wait for some of my friends and family to get them!!

Now, for today's featured artist I would like to show off a friend of mine; CrossStitchCards.  This amazing lady has been making cards for a long time now and you can tell in the creations she designs.  I have been able to give MANY of these cards out to friends and family on special occasion and it is always nice to watch them get them!!  The cards are so beautiful!  Oh ya, and as a bonus she is having her BIG CHRISTMAS in JULY sale right now... so, NOW is the time to buy!  Let me tell you, your special person will really appreciate these cards (and they are about the same as you pay for disposable cards from Walmart)!
