4 Manic Monday 11/4/13 (Fish, Fans, New Colors and a Featured Artist)

Well, I thought a weekend off would help me relax and get back on track - it did, but it also didn't!!  I am so used to my routine that I think it through my system off.  Add into that the daylight savings time change and the remains of Halloween... oh boy, what a weekend!!

My Monster had a project to do over the weekend for school, so that also took up some of our time.   He had to create his version of a URBAN community....here is what he came up with!!  I am so proud of him!!  He has made SO many strides this year so far!!

I did do a little beading, but not to much!!  I really think that time away almost always gets you 're-motivated' to create again!!  I know I am!  I am really excited about starting a new project today!!

What did you do over the weekend??  Anything interesting??

There was a winner announced over the weekend - Norma T. - make sure you respond to the messages within the 48 hours or another winner will be chosen!! We'll do it again soon!!

On Saturday morning I finished and listed my last project, so I thought I would show it off to those who may not have been watching over the weekend!!  I just love this one!!  It is part of my October/November Prima Bead creations, too!!

You already saw the 'fish' creation from above, but I want to show you what else I made.  On Friday I showed you this set of beads that I was creating with:

 As I show off a finished project I get to clean up and gather the beads for a new project!!  For me, I love the beading, but there is just such a wonderful feeling when this happens.  So, here are the new colors, this will be a bracelet.  If you want to watch it grow come on over to my Fan Page or Google+ page throughout the day !!

 Today's featured artist is: Mamasknittingneedles.  This amazing artist has joined with her mother to create some of the most wonderful creations (and also to teach others).  I have to tell you that I have done a little felting in my time and these creations are on such a different level from anything I have seen before.  The attention to detail - on the corners and in the colors - is simply amazing!! You really must see more from this studio - and find out what they do with buttons....you really have to see it to believe it!!  And remember, always support handmade artists, they create out of love!

Today I would like to leave you with this thought;

It is almost impossible to smile on the outside without feeling better on the inside.

So, SMILE! ~KM

  1. Your son did a wonderful job on his project. It's always good to try and take a break from our creative life. I think it brings about new creative ideas when we have that break. Now as for what I did this weekend,..............well, I washed some new alpaca fleece. LOL Happy Monday!!!
