4 Martin Luther King,Jr. Remembrance Day 2013

When Aye and I went to Washington DC a couple of years ago on her Safety Patrol trip we were lucky enough to get to go see the Martin Luther King, Jr. memorial.  At the time it was still under construction, with most of the major works already done.  We were honored to meet the artist that designed this amazing statue and we were able to learn about all the meaning behind it.  I have to say, it was a very humbling experience.

Today, we honor Martin Luther King, Jr. and all his amazing works!

  2. Wow, I'm glad I caught this, because I didn't even know there was a memorial being built in his honor. I feel so dumb! I'm really glad a monument has been dedicated in Martin Luther King, Jr.'s name. I'll be sure to learn more about it so I can share the info with my kids. Thanks for bringing this to my attention! :)
