4 Tantram Thursday 8/2/12

Today I want to talk about driving again!!!  I know, that is one of those things I talk about all the time, but when you drive as much as I do, there is a LOT to complain about.  I discovered, yesterday, that I am a really bad passenger!!  I have been driving - on my own - for so long that I really don't like being a passenger.

Now, let me tell you that my hubby is a driver - for a living!!!  He is a UPS Package Car Driver (the BROWN trucks) and now he is slowly making his way up to driving semi's full time.  He is a good driver!!  But yesterday I went off to work at an event and he went with me... he drove ( I usually drive when we go somewhere because I am giving him a break from driving).  Again, this has NOTHING to do with HIS driving, it was me.  After sitting in the drivers seat for so long the LOOK and FEEL of the passenger seat is really different!!

In my mind I realized that we were not going off the road all day, and that we really weren't scraping the on-coming traffic by being to close, but it sure felt like it!!  I actually found out that throughout the day I was gripping the handle so tight that my knuckles were turning white?!?!

I have to say that this was not a very fun experience for me.  I really didn't realizes how long it had been that I hadn't set in that seat!  Even 'where to put my stuff' was a problem.  Have any of you felt this way?  Maybe from the - other point of view???  Do you always ride everywhere??  Is this just something that I - my NEED TO BE IN CONTROL - self - is dealing with??  OH boy, what a 'wake -up' call for me it was!!

Now, this is the little purse that I was teasing you all with yesterday... it is so cute and fun!!  The Swarovski Crystals add just enough 'bling' to please anyone!!

And to close for the day... here is a wonderful thought!!

You don't pick your friends so much as they find you.  You don't create friendship so much as it unfolds naturally.

  1. I also drive about 90-95% of the time and I'm in constant fear as the passenger. I also grip the doors out of fear, no matter how good the driver is. I'm just more comfortable driving. I also hate being a bus passenger. If it was up to me, I would drive that bus to work, then turn it back over to the metro driver. :-)

  2. Unfortunately, I've never really been able to drive myself (I've had my license since I was 17 and I've driven a few times so I do know how) because of my up and down health, so I wouldn't know if I'm one of those must-do-myself people yet.

I'm in love with that skirt! I need to push myself to wear skirts more often; I love them but I never wear them!
