Today I seem to be stuck back in time. Our weekend was wonderful - quiet, but wonderful! The kids had reports to do and reading homework so I was able to help them and spend some time actually talking to them! Hubby had Florida National Guard duty, so he was gone all weekend. There were services for Grant Lockenbach who was from hubby's unit and farewells for several unit members who are moving to other units. It was a long weekend for him too.
With several custom orders in the works I will be working hard this week on things that I CAN'T show you until they are delivered. I am also going to be starting on some wedding items for the daughter of one of my high school best friends' wedding! Until FaceBook and the internet we had lost touch for about 20 years! It is amazing how you can catch up on photos, lives and friendship with the internet!
I thought that since I have been thinking so much about memories, home and growing up lately that I would feature someone that shows us how memories can also be current! Don't understand? Well Ron and Char from TwistedRiverClay have made these mugs look like they were carved right from the tree. Do you remember carving your initials and your sweethearts into a tree? With these mugs you can actually have that feeling everyday when you get your morning coffee. Wouldn't they be perfect for almost any married couple? What a great idea!! Please make sure you visit their studio and find out what inspires them!!
Remember to try to make a new memory everyday.... you can NEVER have too many! ~KM
