4 Memory Monday

On this last Monday of June I am truly reminded how quickly time flies.  I have so many projects and ideas in my note book (I write them down - I'd never remember them otherwise) that I want to still do.  It is truly amazing to me how no matter what I do I still have more!  With my hubby off to Florida National Guard Duty this past Friday and Saturday I am again reminded that we are a 'split' family.  For our day to day life we are an average working family - hubby off to drive his UPS delivery truck every morning and to return every evening.  But, no matter the time or the day we are also a MILITARY family.  Although my hubby has been back from IRAQ for a few years our family dynamics have changed.  Having served in the Navy I truly knew what to think and what to expect when he was sent, but for some reason our life seems to have been divided - before the year and a half in he was in IRAQ and the time after.

I ran across this plaque the other day and it really hit home for me.  I AM and ALWAYS will be a military member, but being the wife (spouse) of a military member (especially with children) is a totally different thing.  To all of those who have watched over their kids, home and hearts while their spouse is away, this day is for you!

Please enjoy the work of OldGlorySoldiers.  They work as a group to design and hand paint these beautiful signs.  Remember to LIKE them and mark their studio for your MARKET so you can find them again when you want that 'special' something for that 'special' military family!

Enjoy your Memory Monday and remember to do something that will make it's own memories today!  ~KM

  1. Love that sign! :D It is so true! My hubby has been in for over 17 years, so we are almost baked until done. :D

  2. Truly a Perfect Recipe!! I tried to like their shop on Artfire, but couldn't find the like button!

  3. That is an awesome recipe! Thanks for serving our country! I am very proud of our military and have so many in my family who have served!

  4. What a nice plaque and how true! It can't be easy being a soldier's wife - just like it's difficult being married to a policeman...or firefighter - there's danger lurking around every corner every day - more so than with any other profession or occupation.

God bless America and the Soldiers and their families!

Thank you so much for reading my post and leaving a comment. THANK YOU and enjoy!! ~KM
